Biographical Sketch

Robert Zupko II is currently a member of the Boni Lab at the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics at Pennsylvania State University where he conducts research into the evolution of antimalarial resistant Plasmodium falciparum and investigates interventions that can be used to prolong the efficacy of existing antimalarials. He received his PhD in Computational Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2019 where his doctoral studies were focused on agent-based modeling with applications to coupled human and natural systems with an emphasis on the sustainable forestry for bioenergy resources. Prior to enrolling at Michigan Tech he worked as a software engineer for over a decade in a number of roles related to health and biomedical research.
